As I was pulling out a piece of leftover fabric that was about 10 years old, I got to wondering how old y'all have fabric? My oldest pieces are from the 80's. I have a length of orange knit was was going to be a Halloween pumpkin but never made it, a piece of yellow flannel that would have been a nightie & a nice piece of stretch terry from when we wore those strapless rompers (yikes!!!! good thing I was skinny minnie back then! :-P ) ah the 80's gotta love them! So, what's your oldest????

I know I have fabric in my stash left over from making clothes when my oldest daughter was really small, and she's 31 now!
Nineteen-fifties, 100% cotton, mostly ginghams and calicos.
I have 5" squares from fabric my mother was going to use in a quilt but never did - these were leftover scraps from clothing she made for us in the 1960's!
I pitched mine years ago. Out with the old and in with the new! ;-)
I have fabrics in my non quilting fabrics from the early 70s. My oldest quilt fabrics would be around 11 years old.
Have my Mom's stash now and there are fabrics from my wee childhood and I am 66. That makes them late 40's.

I have knits from the mid 70's!

I just started my stash after we moved here and then got back into quilting - so after 2004 ... I did have some stuff that I had gotten for grandkid clothes that is cotton and can be used and that's from the 90s...
then a lady gave me a huge stack of one yard pieces and I'm not sure when they are from - maybe 60s/70s, not sure... I think I'm going to make hst blocks out of that ... |
I have some (many) original feed sacks and other fabric from the 30's that were my Grams'.
