How to quilt David and Goliath block

Any suggestions as to how to quilt the D&G block? I will be contructing it QAYG on my domestic machine. Each 10 inch block has 42 pieces in it. I don't want the quilting to take away from the design but want to do something more than SID. Any ideas will be welcome.

here's a link to the block http://www.quiltivate.com/blocks/104-david-and-goliath
as you can see, the color ways make a big difference in the look of the quilt.
perhaps you can post a picture of what you have done. when i choose quilting, the block has to speak to me to make the decision,.

Thanks QuiltNNan .. looks like a great resource site.

MollyOldham ... ditto to QNN ... different fabrics and placements can change the look so much that the quilting more likely to be quilt specific

Wow thanks for the resource QuiltnNan. I bookmarked it for future reference and play. I learn so much on the QB, today I hit the jackpot.
