have finished quilt now ready to begin the quilting pattern suggests quilting around the trellis, does that mean in the ditch or 1/4" inch away. As the block is 8" should i also anchor the centre.

I don't have the pattern, but I really think its going to depend on the batting that you're using. If you're using W&N, then you can quilt as far out as ten inches and just (your choice) SITD or 1/4", whichever you prefer.

Personally, I would probably do SITD.

thanks for advice, would you knot the centre of block or do a small quilting pattern it is w&n batting.

That's really totally up to you. I probably would find some little design to stick in there. It would just enhance the quilt.

You know I just had a thought. Since its lattice work, what about doing vines with leaves going around the trellis'. You know sortof curvy. That way you would be hitting everything at some point and the vines with leaves would add an extra UMPH!

Thays a great idea the vines with leaves, thanks very much. just knew some-one out there could help me.
