How to Quilt This?

I wasn't going to quilt the applique pieces (I did an all-over meander in the surrounding areas), but since I used cheapy Joann Fabric, some of the little outfits aren't doing so well after being washed. So I've decided to hand quilt inside some of the appliqued outfits.

I've been trying to decide what to do ... crosshatch through the center dots, bubbles around each little flower ... just not sure. Any ideas are appreciated. :) I will be using a coordinating pink thread (Aurifil 50/2) and will be hand-quilting it. I don't want to do anything that will detract from the little top and bloomers.
