How to quilt this?

I'm playing around with borders now, but need help in deciding how to quilt this. I was thinking of using my embroidery machine and putting a pretty feather in the open areas of the appliqué strips, then filling in with some free motion fillers. Have no idea how to quilt the signature squares. I'm stuck. Help!

Love the quilt!!! I would outline the flowers, then stipple the bare spaces. Put a nice leafy design down the borders.

I'd be tempted to quilt the flower and stem design down the strips between them and 1/4" outlines mirroring the flowers and leaves, like a ripple effect.

That is a difficult one for me but it is a beautiful quilt.

Very lovely quilt. I would crosshatch the quilt even maybe only behind the applique and ditch the rest.

I would SID around all the signature blocks. Your other ideas are good.

Wonderful quilt! You have to be pleased with it.

I would SID around the signature; do some McTavishing or other fairly tight filler around the appliqued flowers (and might even baste in some wool bat in those sections so you could make it faux trapunto under the flowers--BTW, great job on your applique). I'd probably do continuous curves on the triangles surrounding the signatures and I like the idea of doing an echo of the applique by doing flowers/vines/leaves on the borders. Very cute quilt!

After SID, I'd do a modified echo around the flowers & just interrupt it whenever I got to a leaf.
