Removing ink from a ballpoint pen:
Use cheap hair spray. Saturate the area and blot.
Repeat as necessary. Wash out the hair spray

Removing rust:
Sponge lemon juice on the spot and hold over a
steaming kettle

Removing brown age spots:
Soak affected areas in a mixture of 1 quart
buttermilk, 1 tablespoon vinegar, and 1 gallon of water.
Repeat as necessary; rinse thoroughly when finished.

In case any of you need to remove these type of stains. The more we learn about quilting everyday!!!!

Enjoy :D :D

Bebe, thanks so much for posting. I am going to bookmark this because I have a couple vintage tops that need to be repaired and some blocks from my great grandmother that also need attention in the someday pile.

Mom looked like she was going to stroke out when I told her I was going to take care of the stains LOL....but I probably won't use them if I don't get those spots out.

If he thinks it's going to be coleslaw dressing, that would be fine.
