Well done! You did a favor for both if you. There was no good outcome other than what you did. Took a lot of guts, but kinder to both of you.

I suffer from the same problem a lot, but it is quilts that I receive from family. It is too hard to say no, so I just work it out to the best of my ability. I do make small mention of some of the issues, without stressing on them too much. They are getting better with them over time.

Doesn't it feel really good to stand up for yourself? It can be scary at first but gets easier each time you do it. It sounds like you handled it with class and diplomacy. Good for you!
