Started a baby quilt for a friend.
(not loving the quilt but it's better with borders)

How would you quilt it?
I was thinking straightish lines following the blocks.

Open to any idea.

The quilt is small (35X40 ish)

I would do something rounded, like feathers or swirls or wavy lines or a combination. Leaves would be appropriate with the border. I love your colors; it's a beautiful quilt.

The center is so square, I'd like to see some curves - meandering, flowers, fruit, etc. With so much color, this would be a good one to practice on if you haven't done much FMQ.

My next one has large areas of plain color and that worries me.

Very nice.

I'd do something curvy as well.

With all of the verticle & horizontal lines I would either do a meander all over or quilt straight lines diagonally.

I would just do a meander. You won't see it much because of the busy fabrics.

In the ditch up and down in the center and diagonal cross hatching in the border. To me it doesn't call for decorative quilting as the selection of fabric makes the quilt. So just utility quilting would work for me. And if you havn't done FMQ, I would suggest not trying on the quilt. Make it easy on yourself. Just needs quilting for stabilization.
