hq 16 sit down quilting machine

I was wondering if anyone had a sit down quilting machine. I know baby lock just came out with the Tiara. There is a hq16 that is a sit down machine. I wondered if anyone had opinions on them. Thank you

I just tried one (the HQ sweet 16) at the NW quilting Expo and I loved it! Now I need to figure out how to pay for one. :)

The Tiara is an HQ Sweet Sixteen branded for Babylock. A dealer who sells both told me that they are identical.

I tried the HQ and liked it a lot. I priced both and even though the Babylock retails higher, got a lower price on the Babylock. Now just to decide if I want to sit down and quilt.

Good luck.

I tried one at the last show in GR, MI, I loved it but would have to get rid of the Grace frame...it would definitely take up less room...a good point....good show price also

Tried both. They were identical. I want one badly!

I purchased the HQ Sweet Sixteen this summer as I do not have room for a LA machine. My DD uses the machine all the time and loves it. If I can get her off of it, I may have time to get some of my quilts quilted. There is a learning curve involved as with all quilting machines.

I have the HQ 16 and friends have the Sweet 16. We love our machines. HQ gives great service!

I bought the HQ Sweet 16 about 2 months ago and it's great. There's a Yahoo group for that machine that has a ton of useful information.

I'm torn between getting the HQ Sweet 16 sit down or the Tin Lizzie sit down. I got to try out the HQS16 at the Birmingham Quilt Expo but the Lizzie dealer didn't have one on the floor :'( I also want to drive out to Tn and try out the Sunshine 16 before I make any decisions. The Sunshine isn't much to look at but it's half the price. I've heard that some people have tension issues with that one and that makes me a bit cautious... but the HQ sewed like a dream. It was nice... having said that, the dealer was a pressure salesperson and that put me off. HAD to buy it right then to get the good price. Two days later when the show is over, the price would be back to msrp...

Just curious what the show price was, if you don't mind sharing.

Thanks!
