HQ Pro Stitcher - is it worth the $$$??
Cannot find reviews for the Handi Quilter Pro Stitcher and I was wondering if it is worth the $$$ HQ wants for it? Anyone out there have a Pro Stitcher and would be willing to share a review?

I bought mine when it first came out and have never regretted it. It is easy to use and has tutorials that I printed out so I could study them off-line. Also have online tutes.
The only thing I would do different is if i had enough $$$ I would upgrade to a newer machine with the Art & Stitch. Since that won't be happening - unless I inherit from some unknown relative - I am content with what I have. I am lucky as we have a HQ educator here in the Valley of the Sun, so I have a reap person to talk with. Though I have called HQ and learned more from them. I even took a HQ University class on quilt CAD, but I think it might have been the last one they did. HQ does have great support. ali |
I got my pro stitcher when it first came out! Found it really great to work with and use. I have since upgraded my HQ16 to and HQ18 Avante and had the pro stitcher put on it too. It is pricy but it sure does make my work look better. I have used most of the included patterns and have purchased others to expand my library. Yes, I would spend the $$$.

You need to test one out and see if it works for you.

I use one and I really like it. If you have great free-motion skills, then you may not want it. Otherwise, I would spend the money to get the full benefit from your longarm.
