I am using 3-1/2" sq. and my recrectangles are 3-1/2" by 6-1/2" to make some flying geese. When trimming the excess, do you save these scraps also or are they too small?

I personally save virtually all my scraps. LOL

I save everything but strings.

I love making fg! This is a way to make them FAST and no waste. http://www.quilterscache.com/H/Howtomakegeese.html Scroll down to the speed piecing method!

I just used mine to make pinwheels from them, mine were the same size and they make up a 5" pinwheel block.

That's how I make my flying geese too. No waste and quick too.

When You mark your lines, mark a second one a 1/2" away sew both and then cut, now you have a second 1/2 square triangle done at the same time
