I have found some signatures pieces 3"x6" that belonged to my mother. These look like they were cut from bigger blocks (to save I presume). Give me some ideas on what to do with them.

Our online group just finished a swap of signature pieces. We made fence rail blocks with the white signature piece in the center. I'll be setting mine together with the signature block horizontal and piece blocks for the vertical. Does this make sense? www.quilterscache.com has pattern.

Sorry, she calls the pattern Rail Fence.

Rail Fence makes sense to me. Very simple and a nice way to use up scraps as well as the signatures.

You could incorporate them into logs of a log cabin block (not always using the same log(s) in each block would add interest), and it would support the Mexican proverb, "The house does not rest upon the ground, but upon a woman."
