I have started a quilt of my own and I was just so excited to start that I did not plan in advance . I just started to cut and pick out colors from my stash, now that I am sewing and cutting I think it's going to be huge. Or at least 2 quilts. What do you think ? I have at least 60 blocks of the green . What button do I push to download pics ?

2 quilts. Over sized quilts are just to hard to handle. I have one to quilt for my nice, my sister pasted away before she could quilt it, It's 104x104 and I have a very hard time working with it. Quilting on my home machine.

I don’t know about the size but your colors are pretty!

Good point . I don't think I will have a choice though . Just to many blocks lol. Sorry about your sister . I hope that working on the quilt is soothing to you.

Love the colors....with so many strips cut, you could do a braid border on one or both....or you could do a whole quilt in braids.... This is my braid quilt...

You could use the extra blocks to make pillow shams, or even a striped bedskirt to go with the quilt. Or a wallhanging and table runners. Or, you could use it to make a pieced backing or a reversible quilt. Or make some lap sized quilts to give as gifts, or to charity.

My very first quilt, I did the same thing! I happily set about piecing block after block, and it never occurred to me to measure it on the bed. It ended up being huge! It pooled on the floor all around the bed. It was also the very first item in my UFO pile, where it sat for almost 20 years!

A few months ago, I finally pulled it out, and spent an afternoon with a seam ripper. I ended up using half the blocks as the backside on a reversible twin sized quilt, and still have the other half to use for a whole second quilt in the same size. Yup, it was big enough to make two full sized quilts, lol!
