In a few days I am going to Paris. I know there are many-many boutiques that sell fabrics in the Montmartre-Sacre Coeur area. Can
anyone tell me exactly where are these boutiques placed? I was there 3 years ago, but I can't remember the names of the streets. Thank you for your help ! |

Also the French Patchwork Association site is www.francepatchwork.com which has a section of retailers advertising, plus a forum you could ask those ladies who live in Paris for help. It's been a while since I was in Paris, but I believe a couple of the shops I visited were on rue de Steinkerque, but I would not swear to the spelling! I just recall that as we were walking up the hill toward Montmartre (your back should be to the Eiffel Tower), they were lining the street we were on and it was truly awesome!!! Odessa, you spelled it right , it is Rue de Steinkerque ! I found it on the map ! Thank you ! Those shops have all types of fabrics, not only for quilting (in fact, in just one shop I found some batiks with 20 euros per yard !). When I was there 3 years ago, I was interested only in quilting fabrics , now I am curious if I can find some nice fabrics for bags. |
