How about using the Shadowbox pattern with Oriental fabrics? I think there is a tutorial on QB.

Yes this is the style I was thinking about. Is this known as shadow box ?

I think of it as a style of different size blocks more than the use of oriental fabric but would use that also.

No, I think the shadow box is different. This is called 12 moons by Robert Kaufman
