I'm sorry this happened.
I started taking pictures of my progress of a quilt, it seems to be easier to notice a mistake in a picture.

Sorry that happened to you! But once it's quilted and bound, it's done. So just accept that the execution isn't as perfect as your intentions.

I do the same thing and it really works. Mistakes are easier to spot and I also see colors that should be moved around.

Tell folks that years ago an old Navaho woman told you that it was unlucky to try to make anything perfect, that each object had to have one imperfection. Most of the time no one but you will be able to find it.

The "mistake" makes it extra special.

So sorry to hear that, but haven't we all done something similar at one time or another. If it took you so long to see it, your friends may not notice it at all. Many times board members post pics of their mistakes which most of us could not find until the error was explained. So maybe it is best not to bring it to their attention...especially if they are not quilters.

I like the tip about taking photos in hopes of seeing a mistake early enough to correct it. Also, I've heard that if you look at your quilt on the design wall with a mirror errors are easier to spot. That is, look like it as in a rear-view mirror.

I feel SO bad for you and I don't have any suggestions other than what has already been offered. I'm working on a quilt now that I don't know how in the world I got it so confused, but I've ended up ripping out rows and rows of it. Mine is just for me, but I still couldn't stand the way it looked. It's one thing for yourself, something else when it's a gift. Hang in there and take comfort in the fact that we all do these things.

We all understand. It will be loved by the receiver. Bless you for making it.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. It actually looks like it is suppose to be that way. BTW it is a lovely quilt.
