I am looking for harvest time blocks, show me your favorite
 

We are going to be doing a blocks for a round robin type quilt where we exchange blocks. I am stumped. No halloween though.

I'm not sure what you mean by harvest time blocks. Blocks made from fall fabrics? Blocks with harvest type names like corn & beans?

How about a pumpkin or sunflower? Scarecrow? That's what I think of when I hear the word harvest.

Lots of paper pieced possibilities ...just google away! :D

Oh I had not thought of sunflowers. Paper princess. Some of the fabric will be chosen for us then we will be able to add our own. Yes blocks with themes like corn or beans or sunflowers!

Could you use jar blocks with veggies in them?

How about fall leaves?? I think you want to chose the fabric to be like fall colors.

Harvest - I think of combines and corn pickers (big machines), dry corn, vegetables, grain, fall flowers like chysanthemems, plants foliage turning from grren to other colors, getting ready for winter.

If you are into applique, you could do a block with a cornucopia. They ALWAYS make me think of harvest time.

Great ideas ladies. I a going to try some of these out though I don't think I a m experienced enough for the cornucopia. Like the bottling idea.
