I am so lucky, but need referrals.

Lots of quilt related getaways scheduled! I'm meeting a dear friend in Amish country (Berlin, Ohio) at the end of this month. My nephew is getting married in Harrisburg in June and I've talked DH into spending a few days in Lancaster county. Then in september another dear friend and I will be going to Quilts Around Chautauqua for four days and taking a two day class with Eleanor Burns.

I've only been to Lancaster once two years ago for a week and didn't bring any fabric home. Any ideas for some good places to go besides Zooks and Old Country Store?

Try to go to Burkholder's... www.burkfabrics.com It is my favorite. It's a bit out of the way but well worth the trip.

I don't know of any shops in those places, but, my main suggestion for you, is to take me with you! LOL!! Sounds like some really great times are ahead for you. Have a wonderful time on each of your adventures.

I am so jealous. I was in Berlin years ago, before I was a quilter. I went to a couple of shops and drooled on the fsbric but i don't remember buying any. I would love to go again. Have fun.

I must say, that you would probably be a lot more fun than my husband in a Quilt Shop. Lol! but he always goes in with me, and tells me to buy whatever I want. Can't beat that!

Quilt & Fabric Shop (#18) is one of my favorites. They have an incredible selection of good quality flannel, along with other quilting fabs. Also a great notions department downstairs.

Also, keep in mind that Bitty Kinna's (#21) is now out of business, unfortunately. It was a really nice shop.

There are a couple of others and when I can find the pamphlet in my sewing room, I'll post a couple of others that I've been to that don't seem to be on this list.
