I am so proud of myself tonight :)

I made a quilt for Quilts of Valor for my BIL who was injured and blinded in Afghanistan. It was presented to him tonight and he loves it. My SIL has been telling him all about it. They put a tear in my eye when they called. It is so worth it to make these charity quilts.

God bless him and his family!!! It will be a long, hard road, but with a loving, supportive family, he will be an inspiration to all.

captlynhall 10-01-2012 05:29 AM

Thank you feels like such an inadequate way to say to your brother-in-law how much his service to our country means. I'm saddened that he has to pay such a tremendous price to ensure our freedoms, but please let him know I appreciate him from the bottom of my heart and wish him well in the coming years.

Your quilt, I'm sure, brought a little ray of sunshine in his life. Bless you.

Please give him a long and heartfelt hug from the U.S. of A. These soldiers sacrifice so much... I cannot begin to comprehend what all they do.
My mother lost her first husband in WWll, I have watched my oldest sister and brother angst throughout their lifetime wondering/missing their dad.
So glad he and all others make it home!

kyquiltlover1942 10-01-2012 09:10 AM

What a special blessing you have given him!! Thank him for his service for me!

MimiBug123 10-01-2012 10:46 AM

As the mom of 2 active duty military guys, I want to thank your precious BIL for his service. Thank you for making something comforting for him, as well. No one knows what kind of traumas these guys go through, and the news media wants to keep it secret. Praying that we will pull out of the middle east and just let them deal with their own issues.

DaylilyDawn 10-01-2012 01:20 PM

As a mother of one military son(US NAVY), a former Air Force daughter and hubby and my self (former (US Navy) please tell your brother-in-law that we thank him for his service and we will never forget!

Bless you for your gift to him and please tell him thank you for his great sacrifice. With out men like him we would not be free.

Jeanette Frantz 10-01-2012 06:53 PM

We must never forget that freedom doesn't come free. There will always be a price for freedom. God Bless your BIL! Words will never adequately express the debt this nation (and all its people) owe to those who fight for our freedom all around the world.

Remember them in your prayers, always!
