I bought a new machine today!
 

I bought the Brother Dream Creator XE VM5100 today. My dealer had an awesome sale on new ones. It included my choice of 11 CD's (Anita Goodesign), the luggage set, classes, 1st service & a years worth of 2 CD's a month!!!! The sale price was $3,999 just can't beat that price anywhere!

It quilts, sews, & embroiders. I'll pick it up next week.
I also bought the extension table and I already have a brother walking foot that I can use for it!

Happy for you. You got outstanding deal. My nearest dealer is 100 mi away, and don't think he ever has deals like that. Congratulations!

Congratulations on the new machine! I have the same machine and just love it, I've had mine since just before Christmas. Was the price you paid with a trade in? I paid a considerable amount more than you did.

Edit to add...whoops, my bad. I have the Dream Maker Innovis XV850D, so that may be where the cost difference is.

Congrats!!! If I ever decided I wanted a machine like that, I'd go for the Brother. Wishing you many happy hours of sewing!!

Oh my goodness. Wonderful. Will you get lessons on it. I am just now beginning my lessons on my new one--an Elna 860. That machine is wayyyyyyyyyy smarter than I; but I'm gonna be the winner here.....I have to drive to Chattanooga for my lessons, but the lady has told me now that I can call her with questions and she'll walk me through any problems. I am so happy for you. Someone asked if you traded in. Did you?

Thanks everyone. I already have the Brother 2800D model. I do A LOT of embroidering and have over 12 million stitches on that one! The shop had a class today using the brand new machines and put them on sale after the class. Hey, the price before today was $4199, so knocking off that much $ plus getting all the extras is well worth it! It's the same as the Babylock Journey. And yes, it includes classes as many times as I want at no charge! I am so excited I just can't stand it! LOL

I have two Brother machines and they do not use the same walking foot. When you try the walking foot, turn the speed of the machine way down and hand advance to see if it is compatible. Mine hit the needle on the foot if I put them on the wrong machine, so I used a permanent marker to put the model numbers of the housing of the walking foot. Have a ball getting to know your new baby. What are you going to name her?
