I broke my stitch regulator
 

The wiring harness on my stitch regulator on my Queen Quilter broke off right at the forward motion wheel/sensor. The machine won't run w/o the stitch regulator working. Does anyone know if it can be repaired? Does the machine need to go to the shop or can I just take the regulator? Help, I am novice longarm wannabee, bought the machine used from an individual who seems to know less than I do. Live at least 50 miles from a repairman, am single senior citizen and it would be a hardship to take the machine off the frame and transport it but if I have to???? Can't find anything on line about the QQ & too late to call a repair shop. If you know anything about this, please respond. Thanks,

I do not have this machine, I would contact a dealer and maybe you can purchase a new wiring harness.

the machine should work without the stich regulator most of these you can turn off so machine should still work. well at least that is what I think

Try joining the homequiltingsystems group at groups.yahoo.com and see if someone on there can help. It's a large group of over 4,000 frame quilters and someone there may have a similar setup.

I feel your pain but am not able to help you out at all - I would call the closest dealer - they will be able to tell you what pieces you need to take in.

FYI everyone, I finally found a Tin Lizzie dealer in OK (I'm in MO) who could order the wiring harness for the Queen Quilter for $75. Machine won't work w/o stitch regulator, s.r. plugs into machine & no way to run it w/o regulator as there is no where to plug in a foot control, if I had one. So, I guess I'm offering advice to anyone w this machine or thinking about buying a longarm, make sure the stitch regulator can be turned off, or unplugged from the machine and the machine will still operate. Expensive lesson learned, fasten cord so regulator cord can't be cut by wheels or connector attachment can't be broken, which mine was. Good quilting, everyone.

There went that money down the drain...(although, things could always be worse a little voice tells us...). Glad you're able to fix it.
