wow, I can really understand your excitement. That teaches a lesson - we are good who ever we are. So, next time you are being modest about one of your quilts, remember who admired it.
I think we should remember we are all great fabric artists and like mainstream art - not all of the people are going to like it, but then there are people who will want to die because they can't have it! Congratulations on being a great quilter |
So happy for you! Last year at Paducah I got to talk with Eleanor Burns.

That is awesome! Could you post a bigger picture of your avatar? Would love to see it closer!

Way to go Jade! I'm happy for you. It's difficult sometimes to show my work to others because I want to point out every mistake when in reality they would never notice. I've gotten much better about it.

I kind of felt that was when I met Nancy Zieman.

Oooh, good for you! How cool is that!
Last year a friend and I went to the Sauder Village show in Ohio. At supper, Sharon Schamber was sitting alone at the table next to us! We didn't disturb her - she looked like she was enjoying the peace and quiet AND I had no idea what to say! I had recently become familiar with her stunning work and I felt anything I had to say would have been stupid - lol. I also met Nancy Z in Paducah in 2005, briefly, and also John Flynn - I tried (and bought!) his Flynn frame. |
Thats so neat!

That is so cool! You go girl. I have enjoyed seeing what you have shown. You have a great eye for color and that is half the battle in award winning quilts.

How fun and exciting for you :D:D:D

Wow, lucky you. A moment in time that you'll never forget.
