Some years back a friend and I made a quilt for a new baby. Now I'd like to make the same one for a coming grandbaby. Trouble is, I have no idea of the name of the book (Neither does the friend.), and I can't locate it on line. It had a variety of animals to choose from. To make the animals you put together various odd shaped scraps of fabric on, I think, interfacing. I remember making a Scotty dog, a turtle, a cat with an embroidery floss tail that hung over the block, and a purple cow. The blocks were of various sizes fabric framed so the whole thing came together in a standard size. Can you help? Thanks!

The technique is paperpiecing or foundation piecing(both are the same), but without anymore information, its a bit hard to figure what pattern it is. You might try a google search with paperpiecing or foundation pieced patterns, also look on this board under patterns and see if you identify one-good luck! There are probably a hundred animal quilts made with this technique!
