I could really use your help

My 20 year old daughter has asked me to make her a twin size bed quilt for her room.

When I asked her about colors, she showed me this printed paper that she really loves. She would like the quilt to have similar green, blue and brown colors. She likes the flower print.

Any suggestions? I sure wish this was fabric rather than paper.

I'd take the paper and go to the local fabric store. That way you can see if anything in those colors are suitable. Pretty paper by the way.

Sometimes wallpaper companies also sell fabric yardage that matches or coordinates. If so, it's usually stated in the wallpaper book. Just a thought.

Very pretty paper. I am with you, too bad it isn't fabric. It may take quite a bit of searching for fabric, but I'll bet you will come up with something that is creative and beautiful.

Try and match it up with the the colors and pattern. Maybe on line you will have success with finding something similar, since there is sooooo much to choose from. Good luck! Would love to see the finished quilt, its gonna be beautiful!

Take her to the fabric store, when she gets there she will be better able to make choices on what is available.

OR. Check out the pattern by blue meadow designs called ASTORIA. Maybe instead of white background she could choose similar light greens as a background (you could actually mix greens and do YBR or similar), blues as sashing and/or
Boarders and do a greyed appliqué, like the Astoria pattern over the greens. I think you could get a similar effect to the wallpaper.

Happy customer of blue meadow designs, the have such nice modern patterns, very appealing to the younger persons

pretty colors. i'd take the paper to the fabric store and try and coordinate it there.

nice color combinations ...i'd co-ordinate them with fabrics found in any fabric stores like most have said here

I would try your local fabric shops to see if they have anything close and even if itsnnot in those colors you can check to see if it comes in those Coles.

Check out Connecting Threads. I seem to remember they have a new line with similar design and colors. Good Luck.

I was browsing Thousands of Bolts last night, their "Maywood Studio Dab of Jazz" has the look of this paper.

Check out Fabric.com for some Anita House designs....I think they're a part of the Free Spirit collection, but I could be wrong. Her colors are sometimes similar to what you're looking for.

Moda has a modern fabric in similar colors that I just love. Here it is at Craft Town Fabrics, http://www.crafttownfabrics.net/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi

I think this link only brings you to their menu so once on the site do a search for moda chrysalis.

Thank you so much for all of your help. I really appreciate your ideas.

I showed my daughter the options you suggested and she especially like the Moda Chrysalis collection of fabrics. I think we will go with Moda. I had not seen the Chrysalis collection before.

Thanks again,

Elise

Also, scan the paper and print out on fabric and use as blocks. Then use coordinating colors to complete quilt.
