Can't say I've stitched my finger, but I did staple one in the fourth grade. OW Cheers, K |
Yep did the exact same thing on only my right hand this summer while working on my DGD's quilt. So I told DDIL that this quilt was actually made with blood sweat and tears. Hopefully I won't do that again. I feel your pain!

I saw my grandmother do it when I was small. I learned from that and I am very careful. Watch my sewing DGD very closely whenever she is sewing.

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. It doesn't hurt very much but it certainly was an adventure trying to get the ingredients cut and mixed together for the beef enchiladas I'm making for dinner.
By the way, I was FMQ when I did it, trying to decide on the path Iwas going to take and not watching what I was doing. Like I said, a dumb, dumb thing! |
make sure you are up to date on your tetanus shots..

I did that once in high school, not since. I have tried to cut off my finger with my rotary cutter. Things usually happen when it is late and I have been at it for a long time. I should learn when it is time to quit. But you know, one more block!

I did such a good job that the needle was embedded in the bone. It was 2:00 am and I couldn't get anyone to wake up by calling out. I finally reached around with my other hand and unscrewed the needle. I woke my husband with a needle in the bone in one hand a pair of pliers in the other. Darn Elna will sew through anything!

:-( I told my near-panicked hubbie that quilters do it all the time. Am I right?? |
Not me and I have been sewing for more than 50 years. My MIL did it frequently.
