I really didnt but I went to an estate sale and couldn't help myself. I came away with my trunk full. There were 2 quilt kits (still in package.), 2 partially made Kaliedscopequilts all completely cut out and some bloks put together, 2 quilts in bags( all squares and batting cut out, not sewn), a set of 12 inch squares embroidered with cats,1qtilt needing only backing, many fabric pieces 1-10 yards each. All high quality fabric and a large leaf bag full of quality batting all for $54.

I was the recipient of probably close to 30 yards of fabric a little bit ago - these are probably from the 40s and 50s - I'm thinking about just making lap quilts with no batting out of them... and maybe give one to the lady who gave me the fabric...

How could you resist a deal like that. I kind of look at it the same way as adopting a pet from an animal shelter. You did a kind deed and gave these things a good home.

It was too good of a deal to pass up, IMO.

Congrats. That is awsome to find things like that. I couldn't of passed that up either. Merry Christmas!

Fantastic bargain! I couldn't have passed that up either.

Speaking of estate sales, I've been seriously thinking lately of what my kids will do will all my sewing equipment, supplies, and fabric when I'm gone. Not that it really matters I guess, but something to ponder over. In any event, I hope that whoever ends up with the machines will love them like I do.
