Just add another border around the outside. it would look great and since no 2 quilts are the same, you wouldn't be able to tell. Trust me when I say we all have in one way or another changed a pattern so that it would either be the size we wanted or so that it would look better (in our opinion)

It appears that you only need to add a 5" border to each side and a 3" border to the top and bottom. Here is your opportunity to add some pizazz to your wonderful quilt!

You could try something like this - to make the center part of the quilt bigger.

You can do either or both. I'm sorta anal about adding a single block. Sometime you really need to add two to balance it out if you have two different blocks in the quilt or if they form another pattern when put together. Borders are easy to add to it and if can use a piano key border using scraps from the quilt, it's a great way to use up scraps but some quilts don't look right with one.Remember though if you are using a pattern, don't cut out borders until you add the blocks to make the quilt larger because the borders in the pattern will be too short once you add the blocks and you will need to cut them longer.

I have learned that there are no foolish questions on this board. Everyone has been so kind and helpful to me and I love them all!

I googled your pattern, very pretty. I suggest either way. If you have enough fabric and patience, I would add another row of blocks. If you don't have enough fabric, then go for another border, but, I personally think another row of blocks would be the answer. I mean a row of blocks on each of the four sides to carry on your pattern. Good luck and please show us pictures of your finished quilt.

Blocks, sashing or borders - until you get the size you desire.

another option you can consider is to make your blocks bigger, or add a double border. good luck, it is a beautiful pattern!

Just keep adding borders till you get the size you want. ps there are no foolish questions
