I feel stupid - PP laterns pattern
I accidently put the pp pieces on the wrong side of the page (where the printing lines are)...I had put a dab of glue on the 1st pieces and will sew on the sides....Is there a way to save these? The pieces are exact sizes since I made templates to cut them out to save all the folding and snipping...I hope this makes sense.
Ive thought maybe I shd print the pattern on both sides of the pp paper on the others...Its not easy seeing the unprinted side for placement. Thanks for ur help....I need it... |
If it's your only block and there are no reversed letters, sure just peel off the paper and you're good to go.

Many of us have issues with paper piecing. It just does not come naturally to me at all.
Can you hold it up to a window and trace the lines so you can see them better? Even better if you have a table with a glass panel, just put a lamp of some sort under the glass and voila! your own free light box. |
You could sew through the lines with machine using no thread. You can follow the stitch holes and it will be easier to remove the paper later.

Excellent idea.

Your block will be in reverse.
When I do PPing I have a light next to my machine and hold the paper up to the light and place the fabric in the right spot. Have a dab of glue on the fabric and it will stay where you put it. You can also just fold the paper along the lines and they act as a guide for where to put the fabric. The first piece is always the hardest. |
