I finally found a great deal!

One of the local stores here in my area had a sell on cotton fabric.......$2.00 a yard! I am doing the happy dance!

AUQuilter 05-23-2012 03:07 PM

That was a terrific find! Post a pic...or two...depending how much fabric you got.

mucky 05-23-2012 03:24 PM

Congratulations! Wish I lived in Oklahoma City!

Near where I live there is a fabric store that sells 100%cotton for $1.99, I always come out of there happy. But you can never have too much fabric. Good for you Mazda.

sounds like you scored big! cjackaitlin, do you go to the store in Auburn Mass? I hit that every time I go to my sons in RI.

Cindy, It is called Lorriane mills in Pawtucket, RI All the fabric on their second floor is $1.99. It's a great little store. Check it out next time your in RI. Mary

Cindy2201 05-24-2012 07:26 PM

I will have to find it then! I am not sure how far Pawtucket is from him but I doubt it's too far! He's in Bristol.

Yes, Cindy2201, I frequent the Auburn, Mass. $1.99 store. You can find some great buys there. It is about 20 minutes from me. It is like a magnet and I have to stop there every time we go to Worcester. I wondered if anyone else knew about this chain.

Cindy60545 05-25-2012 04:33 AM

Boy did you score! Sure wish we could find some deals like that here in Texas!

ziegamomma 05-25-2012 07:49 AM

My budget is grateful that I'm not that close. $2 a yard is like chocolate and I would yield to the temptation! Enjoy the fabrics and glad you found such a bargain.

roserips 05-25-2012 07:58 AM

Wow you sure are lucky to be able to get cotton fabric for that price. The only time I get $2.00 a yard is from the thrift stores. So I really watch the yard sales starting up this time of year.

First thought was where, where, but with 4 tubs and 2 current projects I had to restrain myself, lol way to go.

KathyPhillips 05-25-2012 12:47 PM

I forwarded this to my niece who lives in RI. It can't be far from her, since RI is smaller than some cities in TX where I live!
