I have a Janome, too, and love it!

I found out the hard way that thread does make a difference.

I took a FMQ class and decided my Coats and Clark thread would
be just fine----not so. By the end of the class, my thread broke continually and I had nothing but problems. My DH examined the
bobbin area and found LOTS of short pieces of thread. Apparently, the
expensive stuff is made of long pieces of cotton not short ones like the
cheap stuff. So, reluctantly, I made the switch.......

How super!!! It's been 4 years since I got my new Pfaff (mid range one, not the big fancy). Yes, ask questions to your machine's dealer, they will be so helpful and they will want you to be happy with your "baby". Watch for any problems while it's under warrenty. Have a great bonding time with your machine!!

Congratulations on your new Janome. I have a different model and really like it. Especially like having real people to help either in the store or on the phone. Wish you many happy years of sewing.

How neet! I remember the day I brought my Bernina 1260 Platinum Quilters' Edition home! Enjoy your new "toy"...to me, it's like a kid in a candy store! Have fun with it.

Good for you. I got my Janome in 1992, it was New Home here in the states then, and I still love it. You made a great choice
