i made a quilt for my granddaughter but did not realize until it was quilted that i had meant to reduce the pattern by one row so it would fit her bed. she has one of those raised beds with the desk underneath. the quilt hangs down far enough to make a curtain. way too big.
at least you now have some fabric left that will be useful for another project. but wait, will it be too short next time. oh, dear! ha ha. good luck. |
Whew!!! I've had days like that. most frustrating. I usually end up quitting and going back another day.

I've done the same sort of thing!! I am working on a quilt for my 12 year old sons bed. We decided on a binding. He changed his mind and wanted fabric X on it. It was sold out at the LQS where I got it about a month ago so I bought fabric Y instead. Get home to realize I HAD fabric X already there and was planning on making a pillowcase with it. Ughhhh...

Yep, been there, done that! But on the plus side, you got to go the fabric store and take in all the pretties and bring some home so it wasn't all bad :-)

What a day you had! Funny but so true for most of us. It makes me wonder what on earth was I thinking I was doing.

You are singing my song sister... LOL. I chalk it up to old age, the heat, the phone, the dryer buzzer or the doorbell.
|
Had to laugh. Have had days like this. At least you didn't have a visit from the black hole that eats up stuff that you put down just ten minutes before.
|
Been there done that, so just say "ah h***" and go get some chocolate.:)
|
Are you my long lost twin? I second guess myself so often, I waste a lot of time and effort, but I'm the type of person who needs the light bulb to go off. Better luck today.

I think we can all relate....look at the bright side....now you have more fabric to start
another great quilt! |
