Congratulations Dix! That is sooo wonderful. Maybe your grandson could post a picture for you on a newer computer.
That is the perfect reward and recognition.

[quote=Dix]I am so excited! Several months ago I made my hubby a Boy Scout quilt that was shown in Quilters World. I decided to order the kit, rather than try to get each piece of fabric on my own, in case I could not find them all. It was so easy and a lot of fun to do. The fabric in the kit was pretty and plenty of it. I sent a picture of the quilt to the Quilters World and forgot about it. In this months edition, can you imagine my surprize when there on page 7 was the picture and an article. Hubby has been active in BSA for 68 years and has made a difference in a lot of young mens lives.[/quot
Congratulations~!!!
I have 3 sons all 3 Eagles. I also just retired from the
Boy Scouts.
Has anyone put your husband up for the Silver Beaver. If not you can do it.

I saw that article!! 68 years is a long time for anything! My kids always loved scouting. Good leaders are so hard to find! I'm thinking about starting a Daisy troupe so my grandkids can join in the fun.

Nana, Congrats on your retirement. Yes, he has about every award and things BSA has given. He is a holder of two Eagles. One from BSA and one from the Phillipines, given to him during the Korean era, for outstanding work with the Boy Scouts there. He did work 3 years professionaly in Tulsa, Ok many years. Has just been give the highest award in the United Methodist Church The Cross and Flame. He has been to 5 Jamborees and 20 times to Philmont. I have done 4 trips to Philmont and loved it, but last we decided we are too old to do the tent and outdoor potty.
