Someone had used Duck tape to secure the box under the machine because it was falling apart. My husband would not let me keep these old pieces of junk and sold them both; one at a swap meet for $25.00 and the one in the cabinet at a garage sale for $50. Cabinet was beautiful too. Makes me sick now to see everyone buying these beautiful machines.

I joined today too! I called a sewing machine repair shop in Bloomington and asked if they had any featherweights, and he said he had one. I went there and instantly fell in love with the little machine. It is a 1939 featherweight 221. I just love it! Congratulations on you new little machine. We are both blessed to get one.
