I am so excited! I have been looking for a machine that would do decorative stitches but also able to be treadled. So, DH and I went to several antique shops to look for one. We didn't find one, but DH spotted a FW case and we took the machine out and looked at it. It was a beautiful, new looking 1936 FW with several attachments. Case is OK, but missing the handle. I already own a 1948 FW that I love, but hubby kept saying this one looks better than yours and he insisted that I buy it!!!! (I wondered if he had a fever....) I kept saying no, I didn't need two, but he kept insisting. So, she came home with me! She sews such a perfect stitch! Name suggestions would be welcome. I think my DH is a keeper!!!!
Oh - anyone near Springfield Antiques in Springfield, OH - there is a 501A with attachments for $75.00! I was tempted, but it cannot be treadled...

I would have snatched that baby up and told DH to go pay for it while I stood guard over it.

You are so lucky! My DH won't even give me the time of day.

Daddy's girl is perfect. I've been to the big flea market at the fair grounds. Is that where you got the FW today?

No, it was at the Heart of Ohio antique shop just off of 70. I see you are in Cinci - I live just north of Middletown! We are neighbors!

Here she is - Daddy's Girl. Daddy spent over an hour of quality time with her today. She has been blown out, oiled, lubed and has a new belt and bright red felt thread pad. She is ready to sew!!! She was born on July 9, 1936.
