The posts on longarm quilt thread. I think it was called glide. And where to purchase. When I google it gives me embroidery thread. Unless it is used for that to.

I,ve on look out too, guess it is for embroidery thread but quilter use it on there long arm machines too I guess you can use on sewing machines too. need more help please lady,s reguarding glide thread

Here is the link to the Glide page on Bobbin Central's website. They also sell embroidery thread. There was a tab at the top for quilting thread. :)

Glide is a trilobal polyester thread that can be used for machine embroidery or quilting.

Trilobal polyester thread of 40wt is used for both embroidery machines and long arm machines. I have seen the only difference is the size of the cone (yardage of thread)

I actually used a floriani embroidery thread to quilt a quilt once :) it was the perfect color and I had a full spool...not so much when I was done though.....

BTW, side note, I picked up some glide black....and have to say it is the most luminous black I have ever seen, I really cant wait to get it on fabric to see how it does.
