Pot holders are always useful and if you have too many, you can take one as a hostess gift. Our guild is making placemats for meals on wheels so I scrounged through a drawer of odd ball blocks that I made in a class or as a sample and are using the odd balls in placemats to donate. All I had to do was add a few borders or additional pieces of fabric to get to a 13x17 size and voila!

I have loved the UFO challenge. It's amazing what I've done that has been just sitting there.

This is Dave Ramsey's principle on getting out of debt. Pay off the smallest debt first. It gives you a sense of accomplishment and the motivation to work on the next smallest debt. Almost before you know it, your debt is under control.

Why wouldn't it work for all areas of life that are out of control? Press on! :)

Great job! I also have been finishing up ufos and cleaning my sewing room. It really makes you feel good to have a nice space and get something completely done. However small the progress or size of the project.

Great idea. I am at the point in my sewing where I am looking for ways to use up some of my UFO blocks too and this is a terrific idea.

When I feel that I am not getting accomplished, I make a pot holder and feel much better.
