I Hope It Isn't Wrecked

I had some pieces for a machine applique project on a table. I also had some iced tea on the same table, using a coffee lid as a coaster. Well, the "coaster" filled up with condensation, and got onto a couple of pieces of fabric. This already has the Wonder Under ironed to one side. I noticed that two pieces were curling on the edges. I grabbed them and turned them over. They are on the bed with rulers holding them flat until they dry out.

Do you think I can still use these two pieces? I have more of these two fabrics if you think I should abandon the wet ones.

I've not had that experience (yet) so don't know if the pieces can be used. I'm sure someone will be able to offer some good advice.

I think it's time for you to make yourself a mug rug! LOL

Isn't fusible activated with heat, not water/liquid? Probably not a problem at all once dried. :)

Is it the paper covered kind of web, and is the paper still there? Can you re-iron it with a hot dry iron to dry it all out?

I can't remember if this is one of the fusibles that actually LIKES a bit of steam or not. Some fusibles stick better with steam.

I bet it'll be fine either way. :)

I think it will be fine.

Wonder-under is washable, so there should be no problems.

I accidentally knocked over my mini water pitcher (for filling iron) once onto my applique. Usually once it dries it's fine. The only thing you want to check for is any puckers in the Wonder Under/fabric. Press it again with a dry iron & if you don't notice any places where the Wonder Under or fabric has doubled over on itself, you should be fine. Any curling should completely release once you peel off the paper backing.
