There is a company called 'Whims" that I love to drool over their quilt kits (All watercolor, precut). They have taken watercolor quilts to new places. Imagine my surprise, when I finally paid attention to the company address, when I realized they are here in town! Good thing money is tight..........No wait! I have a charge card! Just kidding! :D

That's certainly "good news, bad news". I looked at the website, and would like about 1 of each... Beautiful kits, and a free pattern, too.

willferg 09-20-2010 01:36 PM

Maybe they are hiring...or maybe they have warehouse sales!

oatw13 09-20-2010 02:07 PM

I had to laugh. I used to drool over the Loopy Ewe website for sock knitting yarn - then found out it's located about 3 miles from my house! Not a particularly good thing. But, oh what fun - much better than looking online.

CarrieAnne 09-20-2010 06:43 PM

Thats neat!

SNUGQUILT 09-21-2010 06:23 AM

brookemarie19 09-21-2010 07:46 AM

Hi I have many of the wall hangings from this company. They are a good company to order from, quick and efficient and I have never had any problems with the amount of fabrics, in fact always had some left over.

Madamekelly you are such an enabler. Just got through looking at their site. I said I wasn't going to buy anything else until I used up alot of my stash. And I am going to stick to that....until I have more time to figure out just what I am going to order. SHHHH!!!!!!

Annz 09-22-2010 05:17 PM

Oh are you lucky.

sunkistmi 09-22-2010 07:08 PM

Kim, thanks for the web link. They have beautiful kits. Added to Favorites; now just have to save some funds to get some of the "kitty" items. I will not charge, I will not charge.......

penski 09-22-2010 07:49 PM

bjdemir 09-22-2010 08:49 PM

Going to have to make a trip. Lebanon is not that far from here - oh maybe 60 miles or so. Looks like they have really great stuff.

bjdemir 09-22-2010 08:53 PM

Just discovered that I have the Meow kit, but haven't had time to put it together yet. Will have to get that on my priotry list with the other 15 or 20!!

sunkistmi 09-23-2010 10:17 AM

That Meow kit is wonderful. I hope they still have it by the time I have enough $$ to get it. There are a couple of others that I would like also. So many things to do, so little time to do them. Course of I would get off this computer, that would free up loads of it, lol.

I will not charge, I will not charge, I will not......

Butterflyspain 09-23-2010 10:51 AM

Love the Japanese Garden one, its on my to do list.

I have made three of these kits and they are great.

Just came back from the NW Quilters show in Portland, Oregon and they were there. Had the Meow Kit there along with a lot of others. I bought the 2" water color grid to put mine together. You lay it out on this grid then press it, then sew 1/4" seams one way, the the other way at it is done - no raw edges on the back and no trimming. I had seen it done before and it will sure make it easier to put together! May get it done sooner than I thought I would.

Jingle 09-24-2010 08:10 PM

I've wanted to do a watercolor quilt for a long time, I don't make table runners or wall hangings, they do have some pretty one though.

SueKitten1 10-03-2010 07:28 PM

Great thing to find!

costumegirl 10-03-2010 09:03 PM

Thanks for the site!! I like their kits - will have to add it to the list! :)
