I know this is a crazy question to ask but I need help!

I started a quilt and am almost out of white. I thought the white I had was Kona white (not snow, I do have some snow but this isn't it). So I bought more Kona white and it isn't as white as the white I've been using! It has the same selvage as the Kona but I'm not sure if it's a different Kona or a different brand. It is very, very white and the Kona white is duller next to it. If anyone has experience with different whites, I'd appreciate some advice.
Thanks.

Different die lots? How obvious is it going to be in your quilt, will they be next to each other? Good luck.

Thanks but I think they're too far off to be just different dye lots.

You can get yellow based whites and blue based whites!

Maybe you had some Kona Snow which is not quite as white as Kona White.

Check out these Kona whites at Hancock's of Paducah:

The PFD has optical whiteners added to it, which makes it more white. However, what I am thinking is that the second piece may be muslin white while the first piece might be a Kona cotton solid white. They are both white and both cotton, but the fabric is woven differently (I think) and therefore may reflect light differently.

Are both pieces Kaufman Kona?

Could the original fabric be Kaufman Pimatex white?

I have never seen this fabric anywhere but Fabric.com (https://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail...f-604c469a65a9) but it Kaufman and it is SUPER white.

I have recently had to purchase some more white fabric with the same result. I just decided it was my lucky day when I found the fabric as I purchased the first lot about 5years ago. I have tried to make sure the blocks are patterned in the quilt and look as if it was a design feature.

I just looked at my Kona shade card. The 'White', when compared to a piece of printer paper, has a pinkish hue. The 'Snow' is definitely yellowish.
I don't know if this helps, but there was a thread a few weeks ago about Joann's Kona - was it or wasn't the real stuff (I have no idea, btw, as I don't buy from Joanns).
