Yes, my vote from what you describe as to what you want would be Hobbs 80/20. That batt is 80% cotton 20% polyester.

Thanks, everyone! I actually bought some of the Hobbs 80/20 at Hobby Lobby for my cousin's baby quilt just last week! Had no idea what I was getting except it was on sale. LOL Anyway, I will ask the lady who will be quilting it what she thinks. :)

Thanks again!

check with your quilter and ask her advice to make sure you get the kind you want and she will quilt,

I usually use the warm and natural or warm and white but have also worked with the Hobbs 80/20. It has more body than the w&n and it is not as flat. I am not a fan of purely polyester battings - can't even say why, since poly bat has a lot of good points. It is hypoallergenic and won't shrink. It does need to be quilted a bit closer than the others but it doesn't get stiff.

theres all different kinds of batting, it depends on what you like- sounds like you might like a hobbs 80/20,
there are all kinds, and all lofts, warm n natural is extremely heavy, I like soft n bright. Also like Fairfields bamboo batting,
but its extremely expensive, its 50% bamboo,50% cotton, holds shape like cotton, not near as heavy, weight wise and hypo allergenic. you need to go to a quilt show, and you will find ooodles of stuff there, silk batting, wool, you name it, they make it or sell it, most of them will even be glad to give you a website to order from. learn something new every day!
