Was I lucky or what?

Yesterday I was sewing on a rag quilt and just doing an "x"in each square, and I noticed that I was running out of bobbin thread (I don't know if you can see that my machine uses a drop-in bobbin). Anyway, this is what was left when I finished that leg of the "x".....and then my bobbin was empty. I didn't have to try to pick up the stitching where I'd left off, or anything!

Yay! Once in a while the stars just align...usually they're clashing, at least at my house.

When that happens to me, I call it a "Bobbin Bingo". Don't get many of them, LOL

lol - must be the day. I had one of those yesterday as well!! It usually never happens ..... matter of fact it usually runs out in the MOST inappropriate place.
Caroline S - what a great term - I will have to remember it! |
Love the low bobbin feature on my Viking. I can usually get to a stopping point that's not in the middle of a row.

Score! My bobbin message will say "less than 8%" for quite a while before it really ends. So it's a cr*pshoot for me!

Pretty neat! This is rare, but when it does happen, I always take credit for it. Like...well, aren't you a good sewer, to have the thread come out exactly right! :)

I didn't know there are machines that tell you when the bobbin in low. I always wondered that they can put a man on the moon, but can't make a machine that tells you when the bobbin is low. What we can learn on this Board is amazing!!
