Thanks..

Gee I would like that poppy fabric too......nice

bearisgray 05-09-2015 09:08 AM

Well, of course "they" want quilts from fabrics that are no longer available!

Pretty fabrics - hope you can find them or something "close enough"

You can also post in the "In Search of" section on this board

Try this site: http://sale-fire.com/Susan%20Winget%...FdKFfgod50gAiA

nanacc 05-09-2015 11:12 AM

I don't have it, but it looks like one I resisted the temptation to buy at JoAnn's about two weeks ago. You might try their site.

osewme 05-09-2015 11:33 AM

Here's what I found.

ManiacQuilter2 05-09-2015 11:57 AM

Since you have the name of the manufacturer, call the JAF customer service and see if anyone can help you. You have to realize when there is a sample where fabric is sold, the fabric gets SOLD real fast. Looks like eBay is the only possible sale of this fabric. Didn't find the dots anywhere but you could use black with white dots (maybe) Good Luck

sak658 05-09-2015 01:21 PM

Thanks to all of you that looked for me...I surely appreciate it immensely!! Maybe I can locate enough to help with a Kingsize quilt...

lynnie 05-09-2015 03:27 PM

I ike that poppy fabric too. would love a yard or two of it.

geevee 05-09-2015 05:47 PM

You can e-mail from her site to see who may have those fabrics:

Is there a name for that pattern or where cold I get a pattern? I think I have red dots. I'll look and let you know in the morning. Maybe we could do a trade- dots for pattern? Oh so pretty!!!

Yooper32 05-10-2015 03:32 AM

All I can say is "good luck". That floral is utterly delicious and if I ever saw it, I would have to buy some of it.

nwm50 05-10-2015 04:33 AM

Sak658.....how much do you need?? I swear I've seen this at my JA, going Tuesday and can check for you.

Bubbie 05-10-2015 04:33 AM

Sorry to say this, but I thought someone posted a picture of a Poppy quilt within the last two weeks (I think it looked the same as this fabric - different pattern). Thought she said it was a couple of years old (fabric). This could be the same fabric (JA's does NOT make samples in store, they are made elsewhere then shipped to the main JA's warehouse. They hang out until they get shipped out - this can take some time - so the fabric can be LONG gone), and it can be up to a couple of seasons old. Sorry, good luck

Great fabrics. Try MissingFabrics.com

KLO 05-10-2015 06:01 AM

Susan Winget Poppies Waterfall quilt pattern can be found for free on JoAnn's website although a reviewer said that the instructions were not correct so I would check that out before using good fabric. The fabric will be the hardest thing to find but ebay may be the best way to go. Good Luck! What we do for our children .... Happy Mother's Day to you!!!

willferg 05-10-2015 07:05 AM

When I googled it, it came up on Joann's website. Although the site says no longer available, it also indicated that my local store has six yards in stock (that's not always reliable, though). It appears it may well be available in some stores.

rosiewell 05-10-2015 01:22 PM

they have similar poppy fabric at Beverly's

MarleneC 05-10-2015 02:14 PM

I would love those fabrics too. Doesn't seem right to hang a quilt and not carry the fabric.

wc00007 05-11-2015 04:11 AM

Try this site I saw some that looked like the Poppies and she will
match the dots if they have them.http://dizzydivasfabricshop.com/fabric.html

Jingle 05-11-2015 04:39 AM

The quilt is very pretty. The fabric is not what normally appeals to me.

margecam52 05-11-2015 05:47 AM

It's available online at Joanns....

Also, there is a free pattern there that you can copy. It does not give the size, however....The name is "Susan Winget Poppies Waterfall".
Do a search on the site, as there are MANY pages!

RAChhap 05-11-2015 08:11 AM

I just got off e-bay and saw some very similar fabric. Look for Susan Winget Poppies. This may be it as they used to sell her fabric at JoAnn's

sak658 05-11-2015 09:57 AM

Thanks to KarenJ from Red Wing, MN, she sent me a pm saying she saw this at her Joanns and I ordered it today, two different prints shipped to my store in Houston, TX...I am a HAPPY quilter right about now...I got all they had, 6 yds of one and 2-1/2 yds of the second one...
A special thanks to all of you that went out of your way to send me ideas and different web sites to look..I knew I could count on the QB to help me out...that's why I come here first ..

costumegirl 05-11-2015 02:49 PM

Here is the link for the pattern
http://www.joann.com/susan-winget-po...roject&start=1

***As already mentioned, be sure to check the yardage amounts and instructions before you start since in the reviews there are comments that they are incorrect.

nwm50 05-11-2015 04:23 PM

Yay....so glad some was found for you!!

Gretchen 05-11-2015 07:57 PM

That's awesome! So happy you were able to get your fabric!

Skylark53 05-12-2015 10:53 AM

Gee, thanks for posting this, ;) I decided I had to make it and just went out and got the fabric (thankfully my local JoAnn's still had some in stock). :D (I kid you). It's beautiful fabric on it's own but not necessarily something I would have gotten for myself, but I really love that quilt! I'm glad you were able to find the fabric!

I would like to expand the size of it, though. I got about double the amount of fabric the pattern calls for, so hopefully that will be enough. It looks like it's a little bigger than throw size in the pattern, I'd like to expand that to full or queen. Is there site or app that would automatically do that for me? Or can I just kind of add, say, aninch to each measurement? (I'm sure experienced quilters are gasping at the thought, but I've never modified a pattern before in this manner).
