I need help

I've bought fabric labels/tabs for my handbags. I can't tell you how many I have sewn either to the inside of the bag or inside the lining. I never can remember how to sew them in.

When making a bag or Ipad sleeve, I sew the lining and front of bag - right sides together - almost all the way around, and then turn it.
While sewing the two pieces together, where do I put the label so that it shows up in the seam on the outside of the bag - not the inside of the bag.

I hope that's clear enough. I have some bags with the label correct.. but darn if I can remember how I did that! It was a fluke!

I can't help you, but just walk away from your project for a little bit. Sometimes when you over think, nothing at all comes to you.

right sides of fabric together - put label BETWEEN the right sides with the raw edges even with the raw edges of the fabric

I agree with bearisgray, how ever I would pin it in where you want it then turn it to see it is in right before you sew. After you have done it a few times you will not need to pin it anymore.

Good idea to pin and peek before sewing. Thank you, crafty pat.

Thank you.
That seems so simple. But when I'm actually doing it it seems confusing. And the part of the label with the words on it, go face down so that the words are facing the right side of the front of the bag, correct? gahhhh.

I agree with bearisgray. Write it down in a notebook so the next time you want to do it you have it written down and it won't be such a challenge.
