Some people like the Supreme Slider for their machines. I would definately recommend Machingers gloves or similar to help move the quilt sandwich.

I live in a small town, and could not find "machingers" in my area, so I tried a pair of winter gloves with the skid grip dots from the dollar store. Works great.

A slider or glider that is Teflon I think helps a whole lot

I have used waxed paper and that has worked well. my personal exp. with vinyl is it is sticky infact that was first time i used waxed paper. i was making a wet bag for diapers.

I have heard that the silicon sheets used for baking are good for this as well, but i never tried it.

You definitely need a walking foot, it works great for pulling the fabric through all together.

I have some silicone spray that is made for sewing (nothing will transfer to the fabric).
Also make sure you don't have drag on your quilt.
