1st time posting a pic hope you can see it |
Looks like a variation of the Tennessee Waltz, the quilting really makes it shine!

Have you thought about writing to Jenny Conrad and ask? Just Google Jenny Conrad Quilts and she may answer. Georgia Bonesteal wrote back to me when I was trying to find the pattern for her hummingbird quilt. (Before the internet was available.)

I agree with Lisa. This may help. https://scissortailquilting.com/quil...t-quilt-block/

Spectacular quilting!
I think the quilt is built with two alternating blocks. 54-40 or Fight and a 16 patch that is floated in triangles. As far as I can tell, all the small squares are the same size - so the setting triangles will "float" the 16-patch unit. |

After looking at the picture more carefully, the block that looks similar to the 54-40 block - the points do not come to the "edge" of the block. See drawing.

I made a quilt for my granddaughter and the pattern looks just like what you are looking for and it was Tennessee Waltz by Eleanor Burns from QIAD. After re-reading the posts I think you have gotten some good responses
|
Is that spectacular quilting or what?

Thanks for sharing this picture! I can see why you are inspired by this one. Love how the quilting brings out a secondary pattern! Thanks bearisgray for deconstructing the blocks. I shall go look up the Eleanor Burns Tennessee Waltz, as well. So nice to have ideas from fellow quilters!

That quilt is a beauty! Good luck with your quest.
|
It is a gorgeous quilt, pattern, colors and quilting.
|
The quilting make me think of a Modified Double Wedding Ring, but that is only the quilting. I would never have thought to do the quilting like this. I really like it a lot.
|
That's an amazing eye that imagined and accomplished that quilting! Wowza.
I love that people here draft on graph paper! ('Bear I'm smiling at you) The very first quilts I ever did got drafted on graph paper with a pencil. Something classic about it! |
I agree that it looks like the Tennessee Waltz quilt. I made one for my granddaughter and the star looks just like the picture you posted. I had an Eleanor Burns tool that I used to make the star and I followed a pattern I had from Eleanor Burns. It is such a fun block to make. I think the quilting on the quilt is stunning also. Good luck on your search.
