I need some ideas
 

I need some ideas for a quilt block for my niece who's getting married. All the guests at her bridal shower are asked to make an 8” block that will be made into a quilt. I've tried to find a house-divided pattern to no avail since they cheer for different baseball teams, I've looked for a bride pattern to applique or a Claddagh pattern but I can't find any of those...can you help? Or do you have any ideas? The invitation says paint, markers or photos are welcome too HELP....please.

How about a heart block? There are several free if you google them. You may have to adjust the size unless you applique it. If applique, how about two heart entwined? Or a wedding cake? Is there anything on the invitation that might help you decide? My stepsons invitation for a Fall wedding had pumpkins and wildflowers so the invitation might give you a suggestion.

If you wanted to put a split sports team block, how about a HST with one team on one side and the other team on the other.

Whats an HST?

This may not scream wedding but maybe it does? Donna Jordan's Summer Breeze. It all depends on how you look at things pertains to marriage! Two colors and so easy to go together. I've made several using this pattern It becomes a kaleidoscope vision. One of my favorites anyhow.
