I would do option 2. I think if you meander all over in black, it would take away from the front of the quilt.

The advantage of a serpentine stitch is that you can sew it very fast and not be overly concerned about staying exactly on the line (or in the middle); small variations don't show up in a serpentine. I am suggesting just one line down the middle because the sashing is narrow and it would cut the amount of sewing time in half (compared to doing the serpentine on top of each black seam).

I love this one but also agree that it would be a shame to cover up those beautiful windows

I love this quilt. You did great !! Does it have a name, or did I miss it.

I think stitch in the ditch would work nicely on that quilt - plus it would reflect the design of the top on the back.

Quilt reminds me of window frames, stained glass panels.
I would quilt along, close to but not in the ditch, on the "glass panel" side, using light neutral thread. This adds a textural effect and makes the black frames pop.
Just my 2c worth:)

I'd stay with something using straight lines -- either SID or option 2. My opinion is that introducing curves or meanders would detract from the overall design. Just my 2 cents! Lovely quilt!

option #3 sounds like a winner to me!

Beautiful quilt. I would do #2

I agree and vote for hope to quilt's option. I think you need something different than more straight lines. The circles would make it pop. Let us know what you decide to do and please post pictures when done.

Good Luck

Gorgeous quilt!

I definitely would not do #1.

I vote for either SID or stitching inside the 'windows' with matching color or varigated thread.

Looking at the picture again, I don't really see a need to stitch on the black at all since it is so narrow.
