I never win BUT !!!! this time I did
I went to Hampton quilt show as usual. I stopped by the Tidewater Sew n Vac booth, they are my favorite chain of stores here locally for classes, etc and the most wonderful people. I filled out a survey and put it in the box. A week later I got a call, I won an embroidery machine. I could have fell over. It was a Brother Simplicity stand alone machine. Amazing. Its a great machine but I already have a top of the line by another company. I asked if I could trade it in for a different one and they said yes. I wanted a machine that would do what my machine will never be able to do, and it already does alot that most machines can't. If I was going to have 2 emb machines then the one thing mine would never be able to do is Disney Designs. We started going thru machines, if they didn't so Disney and have at min 5x7 hoop, they were ruled out. I found one and it was nice and then I found another one, recently out, and it does more for not that much more. I got the Inovis 3500D, it is pretty. There are lots of things mine will do that this one won't but it does what I need and now I have a back up that sews as well as emb like my other ones does. I would have loved to get the top of the line Brother that scans but not in my budget, plus I have so many extras for my Viking Diamond Deluxe, it wouldn't be cost effective to trade it in.
I know that I'm going to love my new machine, and with over 22 grandkids and great grandkids, it'll get lots of use. I have to thank Tidewater Sew n Vac so much. The people in the stores are great, they have classes all over the Hampton Roads area so if I can't make one class in a month, I can try a different store. The people in the corporate office are equally great. I'm so happy I won and just as happy they let me trade it in for an upgraded machine. By the way, my luck is usually so bad that I'm the one person who if she found a quarter on the ground, when I bent over to pick it up, it would be super glued to the ground. |
Congratulations! Now you can say, "Yes, I won once and it was a good one!"

Congrats on your win! Sounds like it found the right home!
Im still waiting to win something! If I bought 99 out of 100 tickets, I would still not be a winner..... |
Good for you. I never win because I never enter anything.
|
Clever lady, if this is your one win ever you really made it count. Congrats and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
|
Congrats on the win! Glad you were able to get a machine with items you want on it~

The only thing I could find were pennies at Magic Mountain park north of Los Angeles! Good luck on choosing the best machine that will work for you! I never win anything.

Oh how wonderful! Congratulations on a nice big win.
|
wow!! congratulations. if you go to the Brother website for emb designs, they have hundred of Disney designs. every once in a while, they have a half price sale. Go over now to look, so when it's sale time, you know what you want. good luck with your new machine

exciting... happy to hear they were gracious to let you switch it out with something you could use. Now you can say your luck has changed.
|
Really happy for you!!

lynnie, I've already been there. They also have the thing like Viking does where you don't have to buy a whole collection but just the ones you want. I also have the Floriani software, another recent purchase since I could never get the training that was promised by my local Viking store. They have free designs each month, about 10, plus all of the free ones for the past several years are still there and I downloaded all that interested me. I love all the training videos RNK does for their software. I'm so excited. I need to get some Frozen stuff for my granddaughter, she's obsessed with that show. Plus, she has always been a Micky fan. thanks for the congrats. I appreciate it.

jmoore, I agree. I've had the best experiences with all of the stores for this company. I've been to most of them in my area, some have more than others due to space but all have great people working there. Love the teachers too. I've never been disappointed in any event that I've went too. Just did the Floriani event and in May is Anita Goodesign. Yes, my luck has changed. I hope it stays that way but if not, I'm thankful for what I have.

I just bought a Brother Simplicity Embroidery, sewing, washes clothes and sweeps the floor!!!!!!!! I love it. I have to take classes - I bought it mainly because does so many things I would have had to do, threading the needle, bobbin, snipping the thread at the end of a row. It sure works for my arthritis in both index fingers - the gnarly kind! I love it and congrats to you - mine cost $699.99! Edie

Congrats!!!

that is such a blessing! Getting to enjoy a quilt show then winning a machine that you got to upgrade and all that wonderful family to sew for. Congratulations!
|
Congratulations! Terrific.
I won a SErger once at a quilt expo. I already had several and was able to trade it for a sewing machine. That was the great part because I was able to gift it to someone who had no machine. God is good ! |
Congratulations. I haven't won anything in years and years, but the one year I did win, I won second prize at my church fair which was a twin size knitted afghan and then 3 weeks later I won the raffle quilt for the Hanna Dustin Quilt Guild, which that year was a sampler Christmas quilt. I couldn't have been happier. I truly am very happy for you that is an amazing thing to win.

Good for you!!!
