I've been trying to make the one block for the Quilts of Valor that they asked for. I had to cut the parts out several times because of errors, sewed them together backwards and finally just gave up and tossed them.

I think when I had the hip replacment, they took my brain as well.

Just put it away for another day, some days it just plain doesn't pay to sew!!

Oh dang, there are just days like that, just walk away and try again later. Your brain may just be on overload today.

From one that is now personal best friends with my seam ripper, I know how you feel I think we all have days like that. I agree with everyone else just drop it and go back to it another day or evening, I had one of your days yesterday and have been sewing most of today (so far with no issues)

i feel your pain.

there are certain blocks that make me flee in terror.

oh I hate days like that. *sending huge hugs*

Maybe you should put it away for right now and work on something else that's fun? (and easier?)

I've had several surgeries. Is that what happened to my brain? :-)

We have all been there. Presently I'm struggling with a double wedding ring block. I've put it aside for a week. Give yourself a break and it will work out for you.

I went through that recently making the first star for a quilt that will have 50. The next morning it all looked a lot better! I think I was so concerned about getting them all finished that I couldn't even concentrate on just one. Hugs

Dont feel too bad, I think we all get that way at times. I know I have, LOL . I just put it aside and find something else to work on. NO GIVING UP IS ALLOWED! :):)

I am making a very simple wallhanging for my GS. Believe me when I say it's simple. Well, I've had more problems making that crazy thing that I've just about worn out my seam ripper. I finally got the bugger pinned this evening and will quilt it tomorrow. We all have days like you're having, just wanted you to know you're not alone.

Pat yourself on the back for effort and perseverence and then sleep on it. Bet it will be great tomorrow!
