http://www.snowyriverquilts.com on Friday July 23, 2010 and was beyond shocked when I went to the mail on Monday July 26, 2010 and it was there! They are located in Laramie, Wyoming. I ordered 6 yards! Now that is what I call exceptional service! Service like that NEEDS to be recognized! I read and hear all to often about the shoddy service at some quilt stores. I e-mailed them and gave them all kinds of kudo and told them that I would let all my quilter friends know about the service I received!

That's amazingly fast service! That's great that you sent them kudos I think a lot of us are quick to complain but when service is good we forget to send our thanks - I know I am guilty of that at times. Word of mouth is really important too.

I agree....sometimes "we" are that way....quick to complain, but this kind of service REALLY does deserve recognition!!!! I just had to share my great experience.

Wow, they are good.

bejay28 08-02-2010 09:31 PM

I agree, yes they are. I will certainly order from them again!

BellaBoo 08-02-2010 09:43 PM

I noticed the shop has a lot of vintage Moda fabrics. Some I haven't seen for sale in years.

mzsooz 08-02-2010 09:43 PM

I received my package today from Ethelbird&Elizakids.com that I placed on July 30. My first order from them and I will certainly order again! The reason I ordered from them is because of the Fabshophop gift certificate that I won.

I'm totally happy with the whole experience. They roped in a new customer!

Hi, I am a newby but someone was asking about where to find remnants and scraps, well i don't know how many here are aware of a yahoo group called freecycle? I am a member of freecycle in norfolk va and most of my fabric has come from others in the group. I have done very well by it actually and even have recieved hoops, batting, threads etc and i also use some sheets, old or newer ones to gain fabric, freecycle members on average here post offers for old sheets or not so old ones as well as fabric. Freecycle keeps things out of the landfills that do not need to go there and can be recycled. Also i look for old shirts, mens shirts with plads are excellent sources of fabris as well as buttons.
I save EVERYTHING! LOL! and my stash has far outgrown my closet, Im insane! hehe happy quilting everyone! check out freecycle, its all free, a trade off which works very well and if you are planning to toss something out that still has life in it, someone on freecycle would probably want it.:)
